1. Information Gathered by KaniPOS
We collect data essential to running your cloud POS registers and online storefronts, including:
- Merchant Details: Store name, billing address, contact phone, and GSTIN registration numbers.
- Operations Logs: Cashier shifts, transaction values, payment types (Cash, Card, UPI), and item stock levels.
- Customer Parameters: Phone numbers and names provided during invoice dispatch or online storefront order checkouts.
2. Payment Processing
E-commerce checkouts initialized via UPI QR codes or razorpay integrations are processed directly by securely encrypted payment gateways. KaniPOS does not store credit card credentials or banking login passwords on our local multi-tenant databases.
3. Local Storage & PWA Caching
KaniPOS utilizes standard browser local storage and IndexedDB caches to allow offline cashier operation and smooth PWA (Progressive Web App) load performance. These caches reside entirely on the merchant's local machine and can be cleared at any time via standard browser options.
4. Compliance and Data Erasure
We maintain strict database segregation to ensure one tenant's staff cannot view another tenant's store records. Merchants can request permanent shop deletions or database purges at any time by contacting our support desk.
